Calathea’s are also known as Prayer Plants because their outstanding leaves fold downward at night - just like praying hands. The leaves then shoot up at sunrise to start catching some sweet, sweet rays.
This plant is native to Brazilian rainforests and has incredible green leaves on one side and purple hues underneath.
To keep your plant happy you should give it some liquid fertiliser once a month in spring and summer.
